Did you know there was a PIT Crew in the New Testament? That's right, the early New Testament believers saw God do incredible things around them:
-
as they met together for Prayer.
-
as they Invited their friends to places where the truths of Jesus Christ were taught.
-
and when they were able to Tell them what Christ had done in their lives
Just as all athletes are constantly reminded to practice and master the basic skills of their sport, we are inviting you to use this simple game plan to see God do incredible things in the lives of your friends.
What does it mean to be on the PIT CREW ?
-
Pray. As a PIT Crew member you must be committed to praying once a week with others in your FCA Huddle, specifically for friends you know who need to find faith in Christ.
-
Invite. You must look for opportunities to invite your friends to places or events where you know faith in Christ will be presented. The places or events could include your local FCA Huddle meeting, area-wide FCA events, FCA summer camps, Christian concerts, youth group meetings, Church, etc.
-
Tell. You also must be prepared, ready, and willing to tell your friends what your life was like before you had a personal relationship with Christ, how you came to a personal faith in Christ, and what Christ means to you now.
That's what it means to be on the PIT Crew. You and the other students in your Huddle can join a worldwide prayer evangelism movement. Research has shown that students who do these three things increase their opportunity to see God's work in the lives of their friends by 800 percent.
Incredible, isn't it.
What do I do ?
Get together with your friends weekly and pray specifically that God will move in the lives of your friends who need faith in Christ. Look for opportunities to invite them to Christian Events, and be ready to share what Christ means in your life. Keep track of your prayers and how God answers them so that you will be encouraged!
